The brave wallet now supports the Solana (SOL) blockchain.

The Solana ecosystem is coming to Brave

The native web browser wallet Courageous, now allows the use of the Solana (SOL) blockchain. This novelty, which arrived this Monday with version 1.39, brings the browser into focus web3 and privacy :

Thanks to the Ramp integration, it is also possible to buy SOL directly from the digital wallet.

Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder of Solana, sees this update as a further level of democratization ecosystem. For his part, Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave, also expressed a similar opinion:

“As the leading Web3 browser, Brave now provides integration with Solana’s blockchain so that users and developers can transact seamlessly over their fast and affordable network. We also look forward to dApps support in a future release to take advantage of the ecosystem […] in full swing of Solana. “

BAT to buy NFT

Although Brave’s BAT token offers almost no functionality, the founding team wants to change it. This last implementation allows, initially, to use BAT on Solana thanks to Wormhole Bridge. In addition, a partnership has been entered into with the non-fungible token platform (NFT) Magic Eden.

In fact, users of the Brave wallet will have it soon the ability to purchase NFT on the platform with this token, as Sidney Zhang, the founder of Magic Eden, pointed out:

“By allowing them to trade NFTs on Magic Eden with BAT, we are able to unlock a new use of the token for Brave’s crypto-native audience in Solana’s NFTs. “

Of course, these new elements are not sufficient to guarantee a concrete added value to BAT, but they are in any case proof of the company’s willingness to develop its product in a market. where competition is strong.

I timidly discovered the world of blockchain in late 2018 during my pursuit of financial freedom. Initially invested moderately, only two years later I decided to bet everything on the movement that was taking shape at the time. So I dedicate 2021 to train better to acquire more knowledge and seriousness. As I often like to say: I still have a billion things to learn. And what I know, I want to share it with you.
