Brochure – Cryptocurrency lending platform Nexo is responding to a smear campaign orchestrated by an anonymous Twitter account against the company and its founder.
“Donations for sick children, curse”: Nexo under fire
Full cup, or almost, for Nexo. A person or group with a Twitter account known as Otter lead a hard life to the cryptocurrency lending platform for a few days.
Pleading, argument that wants to be objective and supported by evidence, accusatory tone … Through a series Of the June 26 posts, Otter turned Twitter into a semblance of a court of law to conduct his prosecution against Nexo.
The job: the founder of the company and his family stole the donations originally intended for a charity for sick children. Although such an accusation is already enough to outrage the public, Otter nevertheless continues its momentum, stating that these funds were used to the construction of a “PALACE”.
He develops his argument starting from citing the names of the founders of Nexo: Kosta Kanchev, Antoni Trenchev and Georgi Shulev. Otter continues his indictment by bringing to light some elements of the past of the three Bulgarians who would support the accusations.

“Big lie” and “ridiculous accusations”: Nexo breaks the silence
I call at the bar! The tweet, who at the time of his tweets was wearing a magistrate’s robe, then cites a 2020 search by Bulgarian journalists who allegedly uncovered a scandal affecting the charity HelpKarma, whose activities focus on healthy children.
To add water to his mill, Otter highlights the Office’s search for investigative reports and data they would have uncovered a misuse of donations : “the purchase of real estate, sumptuous personal travel, etc.”.
The Bureau also reportedly found that Kosta Kantchev’s father had been inducted into HelpKarma’s board of directors in March 2018. The temptation was too strong, Otter could not ignore. Nexo’s first ICO took place … in March 2018.
The noose seems to tighten around Kosta Kantchev, whose cousin is said to be the founder of HelpKarma. To deliver the coup de grace, Otter cites the organization that raised several million dollars, which they would later ” distributed huge commissions to dad and cousin.
“Incredible salaries to his acolytes, with a monthly salary of $ 50,000 while the average salary in Sofia, Bulgaria is $ 1,000”Otter points out.
The word is now in defense. Nexo has published two articles on the Nexo website, to raise its voice and shed light on these allegations by refuting the accuser’s statements point by point. The lending platform refutes these allegationscalling them a “big lie” and “sensationalism”.
The lending platform’s response is accompanied by a letter of formal notice to try to prevent this anonymous Twitter account from damaging the reputation of the company and its founder.
Nexo would have done without these aggressive tweets in the midst of bear markets, an environment that raised the temperature within its competitor Celsius.
