The Next World Forum, an esports and gaming summit that will bring together industry leaders from around the world, will be held in Riyadh in September. To wrap up the recent Gamers8 festival, a summit on the future of esports will be held. More than 1,200 delegates from around the world will gather in Riyadh to discuss esports and the most relevant gaming issues during the forum in person. These include sports ministers from various leading countries, investors, players, developers, technology providers, start-ups, public sector representatives, brands and publishers. 7 September Specific panel topics

The first day will be launched by the Saudi spotlight. This will be followed by the Gaming and Esports as the Next Frontier of Media session, at 11am on 7 September. This session will be moderated by Dr. Alex Schudey, Managing Director and Partner, Boston Consulting Group. September 8 Panel specific topics

The second day starts at 9:40 am with a fascinating look at Gaming for Good: The Light Side and the Dark Side of Gaming, with Joana Pérez Martorell, Head of UNICEF Partnerships; Houssam Chahine, Head of Private Sector Partnership and Philanthropy for the MENA Region at UNHCR; Désiré Koussawo, the international esports consultant; and Vlad Marinescu, president of the International Electronic Sports Federation. What is Gamers8?

What is SEF?

The Saudi Electronic Sports Federation is the regulatory body responsible for training elite gaming athletes and developing the gaming community and industry in Saudi Arabia.
