BNP Paribas freezes bank rates for its private clients in France – 09/14/2022 at 11:59 am

(AOF) – Bnp Paribas’ commercial bank in France has announced a freeze on all bank fees for its private clients. “Inflation is now high and companies have been asked to help moderate it,” the bank explains.

BNP Paribas also continues to pay particular attention to customers who may encounter situations of financial fragility with the support of specialized consultants and a dedicated free offer (Forfait de Compte) which applies a ceiling of 20 euros per month and 200 euros per year to costs related to payment incidents.

For customers in a situation of financial fragility who have not subscribed to the free “Forfait de Compte” offer, the bank has implemented a monthly cap on charges relating to payment incidents at 25 euros per month since 2019.

The negative effects of rising interest rates

Rising interest rates usually cause bank income to increase through loans.
