HELSINKI, September 16, 2022– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Arctic Blue Legacy Gin is the company’s latest product on the market. It is handcrafted in Finland and aged for 24 months in oak barrels. Arctic Blue Legacy combines the world-renowned glass design of Timo Sarpaneva with the internationally recognized professionalism of the master distiller Asko Ryynänen. Arctic Blue Legacy received the highest international awards at the International Wine and Spirit Competition 2021 and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2022.

The unique design of the Legacy bottle is based on the E415 prototype designed in 1976 for Iittala by the international master of Finnish design, Timo Sarpaneva (1926-2006). The Prestige wooden chest by Legacy is inspired by Sarpaneva’s sculpture, Gateway to Dreams. Working with Sarpaneva Design and Infinity, his designs have been subtly adapted to new uses, giving rise to the look of Arctic Blue Legacy.

The rights to purchase Arctic Blue Legacy will be distributed in the form of an NFT. An NFT (non-fungible token) is a record on a blockchain associated with a unique and non-replicable digital or physical asset. The main functionalities of the NFTs are the proof of digital ownership and the benefits for the holder. The product is stored at the expense of Arctic Blue Beverages, until the NFT holder decides to exercise their right to purchase or transfer ownership to the Ethereum blockchain. Arctic Blue Legacy is a luxury item and digital proof of ownership allows for a transparent global secondary market that makes it easy to trade or gift NFTs.
